Happy Halloween Day.

We have entered the Halloween season. Even though it may not feel like it from here in sunny California, on Friday, October 31, children and adults alike will be dressing up for All Hallows’ Eve across the nation.

Halloween has seen significant change over time. In actuality, it was first observed by the Celts as a way to remember their departed. When Christianity came to the area, the focus changed from honoring Celtic ancestors to honoring saints and martyrs.

But as time has gone on, the holiday has lost some of its more religious overtones and has become much more about having fun: dressing up in costumes, putting up jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, and spiders, making spooky treats like “moldy” ice cream sundaes or bloody vegetable trays, and knocking on doors to collect candy.

With the aid of films like Scream (1996) and Halloween (1978), Halloween’s appeal to adults has increased recently. Statistics show that 68% of millennials planned to celebrate Halloween in 2014, the most recent year for which data is available. It increased from 63% in 2011. And those figures are only predicted to increase!

Halloween is a time for dressing up, or in everyone’s case, as a zombie. But what if you’re not dressing up and are simply celebrating Halloween? This Halloween Day t-shirt design will let everyone know how much you adore the holiday.
